Health & Safety

Implementing management systems for occupational health and safety enables your organisation to monitor and manage risks related to the working environment. Training employees in relevant standards and to implement processes and systems will help you take a systematic approach to protect your employees.

The OHSAS Foundation course provides information on how an OHS management system can improve the business, vital safety management issues, how to identify risks, how to perform a risk assessment as well as the purpose and requirements of the standard.

By the end of the OHSAS Internal Auditor course, the participants will understand the concept of OHSAS. Delegates will be made aware of current good audit practices and provided with knowledge and skills required to prepare for and conduct internal safety management system audits.

After the OH&SMS Auditor/Lead Auditor Course (IRCA Course Certification No. A 17309) course the participants will be able to examine the organisation’s management system, produce a list of safety regulations, identify OHS risks, establish documentation and monitoring parameters as well as manage and execute all stages of an audit.

The OHSAS Risk Management course teaches the value of a risk based approach. It provides the participants with an understanding of how to perform, implement and improve risk management in their own organisation. After the course, the participants will be able to perform a qualitative risk assessment in their own organisation.

The IMS training courses teaches the fundamentals of management systems integration; especially those based on the ISO 9001 (Quality Management System standard), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System standard and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health, and Safety Assessment Series) of international standards. It also highlights the use of PAS 99 (Publicly Available Specification) issued by BSI.

DNV Thailand offers these additional courses under Occupational Health and Safety Management:

The Professional Accident Investigation course will provide safety professionals/investigation participants the required knowledge and skills to be an effective investigator. This way, when investigating an incident or accident in the workplace, the investigators will understand what is really happening in the workplace and from this understanding, will help prevent recurrence of the incident by effective evaluation of risks and developing adequate controls.

Advanced Loss Control Management (ALCM) training is designed to provide participants with the tools and techniques to develop and apply a comprehensive loss control management system for their organization. The course focuses on key issues, concepts, and advanced topics that will ensure more focused and successful management system development and implementation.

Process Safety Management (PSM) is designed to help you understand, interpret and organize a process safety management in your organization. Basic concepts and elements of effective systems will be taught to participants, and provides procedures that are extremely useful for control process hazards. This 3-day course also focuses on the risk management process, and once risks are properly identified and classified, risk reduction techniques will be taught on how to treat the risks.
