The most common standard for environmental management systems is the ISO 14001 standard, as well as the EN 16001 standard for energy management. There are also other environment standards, such as EMAS (The Eco Management and Audit Scheme), and various national schemes.
The ISO 50001:2011 Foundation course for Energy Management Systems provides a general outlook on the EnMS and it's significance for their company. This 5 day workshop on ISO 50001:2011 Lead Auditor course is intended for anyone within an organisation who is interested and responsible for energy management practices and implementing energy efficiency into existing industrial management systems for continuous improvement for sustainability. By enhancing your organization's competitiveness by energy efficiency, you will open your organization to new business opportunities, being able to meet supply chain needs and customer’s contractual requirements with a DNV certified Energy Management System (EnMS).
The ISO 14000:2004 Foundation course gives the participants an understanding of how ISO 14001 fit into the big picture, how an EMS can improve the business through improved environmental performance, the key requirements of ISO 14001 and how environmental aspects and impacts can be identified in a structured manner.
By the end of the ISO 14001:2004 Internal Auditor course the participants have an overview of management systems and ISO 14001, and they know the importance of internal EMS audits. Participants are able to conduct internal audits, collect and analyse evidence and report the audit results.
The EMS Auditor/Lead Auditor Course (IRCA Course Certification No. A 17305) course provides a thorough understanding of management systems and ISO 14001. The responsibilities of the various parties involved in audits is discussed, especially the lead auditor, and how to plan, perform and report audits to obtain the best results, especially third party audits.
The IMS training courses teaches the fundamentals of management systems integration; especially those based on the ISO 9001 (Quality Management System standard), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System standard and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health, and Safety Assessment Series) of international standards. It also highlights the use of PAS 99 (Publicly Available Specification) issued by BSI.
The FSC/PEFC Chain of Custody course aims to provide participants with a better understanding of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain of Custody (CoC) and its requirements. Upon completing the two day course, participants will be better placed to align their organization's FSC CoC system with the FSC international standard requirements.
