The Construction Product Directive (CPD) requires CE-marking for a big range of products within the entire construction chain from cement and bitumen to structural steels and firefighting systems.

CPD CE The purpose of the Construction Products Directive (CPD) 89/106/EEC is to ensure the free movement of all construction products within the European Union by harmonizing national laws with respect to the essential requirements applicable to these products in terms of health and safety. The essential requirements are not addressed to the product as such but to the finished construction, which assume that the product is used as intended by the manufacturer.
