The Aviation, Space & Defense Industry Controlled Other Party (ICOP) Scheme relies on thorough, value-added and professional CB audits in order to have confidence in the AS91X0 certificates of suppliers. In order to make the CB audit process more robust and conducive to a process based protocol, a team of industry experts has been working on a revision to the AS9101C checklist, since 2008.
Revision D of AS9101 will shift some auditing paradigms, such as focus on process and system effectiveness, in addition to process conformance to established documentation.
AS9101 revision D will also indirectly impact AS91X0 registrants. Come join us and hear from the person who led the AS9101 rewrite team about the changes to the document, the rationale behind the changes and some potential impacts you will experience.
