I cannot access e-Advantage. Why?
a) Make sure you are using Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher. AOL, Netscape, and MSN, are not recommended as some screens will not fully load or may not allow you to access the site at all.
 
b) If you have saved the URL as a bookmark/favorite or desktop shortcut:
Internet Service Providers (ISP) and Company Internet Settings can vary. It is important when saving the website as a “favorite” or “shortcut” that you verify the URL is correct. This can be done by right clicking the “favorite” or “shortcut” and viewing the "Properties". Make sure the URL is correct, https://portal.dnv.com/eService_enu/start.swe. Remove any extra characters, click on Apply then retry your "Shortcut" or "Favorite."
 
c) Occasionally maintenance is done on this website. If you are unable to access, please wait a few minutes and try again. If you are still unable to access, please email houPortal.Feedback@dnv.com.
I get a repeat window to re-enter my user name and password. I re-enter my information and still cannot access.
Email houportal.feedback@dnv.com (or click on "Submit a Service Request") if you see the repeat window following entering your user name and password. The password may be locked out and our IT Department will need to reset. It there is an 3rd unsuccessful attempt to sign it, the password will be locked.
 
Where can my company's clients verify that our company is certified by DNV?
This information is available on our Certification Customer List.
 
Where in e-Advantage can I find free checklists and Advisory Notices to download?
News/Library (Library) section. Query the "Name" field by typing in the word "Checklist", then click on "Go". For Advisory Notices, Query the "Name" field by typing in the word "Advisory", then click on "Go".
 
Does my user name and password expire?
User names and passwords do not expire. The are deactivated when:
1) The contract with DNV is discontinued, or
2) DNV is notified that the user is no longer in need of a user name and password (e.g., transfers to another area within the company or is no longer employed with your company)
My user name and password do not work. Why?
Sometimes the blank space following the user name is picked up if you have copied/pasted them into your browser's search field. A space is considered a character. The password is case sensitive so be sure you are entering it in correctly. Make sure you are typing in an underscore "_" in the user name and not a dash "-" or space. If you are still unable to access, please email houPortal.Feedback@dnv.com for assistance.
 
Is there a list of contacts for the different DNV departments?
Yes. News/Library (News) section. Query the "Description" field by typing in the word "Customer Communication", then click on "Go". Here you will find all Customer Communications for our clients that have been historically distributed.

I cannot open the PDF files listed on the portal. How can I resolve this?
Be sure you are using the most current version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. The computer you are using to access may have a lesser version than what the document was originally created in. The current version of Adobe Acrobat Reader can be downloaded free at www.Adobe.com
 
My phone number and email address have changed or they are incorrect on the portal. How do I report this to have it changed?
Email houPortal.Feedback@dnv.com to submit ANY changes to information currently viewed on the portal, or click on the "Submit a Service Request" link and follow the prompts.
 
There is a company contact showing up on the portal who is no longer with the company. How do I report this to have it updated?
It is very important that company contact information be kept current. Please submit any updates of any kind to houPortal.Feedback@dnv.com, or click on the "Submit a Service Request" link and follow the prompts.
 
When will my most recent certificate be published to the portal?
Depending upon the standard that your company was audited to, some nonconformities may be required to be "closed" prior to certificate issuance. If you have questions on certificate availability, please email our Certificate Issuance Department at HOUCCI@dnv.com. Please reference your company name and DNV Order/Project number in the subject line.
 
Am I able to change my user name and password?
No.
 
Who do I contact to reschedule an audit?
We have 6 Client Support Specialists that can assist in scheduling or rescheduling an audit - depending upon the company name. Please refer to the Customer Contact Sheet that is located in the News/Library (News) section. Query the "Description" field by typing in the word "Customer Communication", then click on "Go". Here you will find all Customer Communications for our clients including the current Customer Contact Sheet.
 
I checked the box to "Remember my User ID and Password", but it doesn't remember it?
This feature is currently non active. We are working to resolve the issue.
 
I had a really great audit experience! How can I relay that to DNV?
We love to hear from you. On your "Home" page, click on "Give Us Your Feedback" to let us know how we are doing.
 
Do I need to install additional software to view DNV's eAdvantage site?
No.
 
Can more than one person per certification project be issues a password?
Yes, however, each user must register here and view the visitor agreement.
 
My company has locations worldwide. Is this database global?
Yes. eAdvantage has the capability of your global leaders seeing all the global sites that DNV certifies.
